Dresium Plugin Documentation

Everything you need to know to integrate Virtual Try-On in your e-commerce and boost conversions

1 What is Dresium

Dresium is an AI-powered Virtual Try-On platform that allows your customers to visualize how they will look wearing clothing items from your catalog before completing their purchase.

How It Works

  1. Customer clicks the Try-On button A Dresium button appears on your e-commerce product page. The customer clicks it to start the virtual try-on experience.
  2. Upload or select a photo The customer can upload their own full-body or half-body photo, or select a previously saved photo from their personal gallery.
  3. AI generates the image In just a few seconds, our artificial intelligence system processes the photo and generates a realistic image of the customer wearing the product.
  4. Customer buys with confidence By previewing how the garment looks on them, the customer can proceed to purchase with greater confidence, reducing uncertainty and returns.

Tip: Dresium works best with clothing items such as t-shirts, shirts, jackets, dresses, pants, and hoodies. It is optimized for fashion products including casual and formal wear.

2 Requirements & Installation

System Requirements

  • WordPress: version 6.0 or higher
  • WooCommerce: version 8.0 or higher
  • PHP: version 7.4 or higher
  • SSL/HTTPS: strongly recommended for security
  • Internet connection: required to communicate with Dresium servers

Installation Procedure

  1. Search for the plugin Go to Plugins > Add New and search for "Dresium" in the WordPress repository search bar.
  2. Install the plugin Click "Install Now" on the Dresium plugin. Make sure you have WooCommerce already installed and active.
  3. Activate the plugin After installation, click "Activate". You will see a welcome notification with initial setup instructions.
  4. Connect your e-commerce Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Dresium > Authentication and click "Connect Ecommerce to Dresium".

Important: After registration, you will receive a Recovery Code. Store it in a safe place: you will need it to restore access in case of issues or plugin reinstallation.

3 Configuration

Once the plugin is installed and connected, you can configure which products will display the Virtual Try-On button.

Product Category Selection

Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Dresium > Configuration to choose where to enable Dresium:

  • All categories: the button appears on all products in your catalog
  • Selected categories: manually choose categories (e.g., T-shirts, Jackets, Dresses) where the service will be active

Tip: Start by enabling Dresium only on your main clothing categories. You can always expand later.

OAuth Authentication

Dresium uses a secure OAuth2/OpenID Connect authentication system to connect your e-commerce to our servers. The procedure is completely automatic:

  • Click "Connect Ecommerce to Dresium" in the Authentication section
  • A popup window will open for registration
  • Complete the registration and the system will automatically generate credentials
  • Save the Recovery Code provided

4 Customization

Customize the appearance of the Dresium button to seamlessly integrate with your site's design. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Dresium > Appearance.

Button Position

Choose where to place the Try-On button on the product page:

  • Top Left - above the product image, left-aligned
  • Top Right - above the product image, right-aligned
  • Bottom Left - below the product image, left-aligned
  • Bottom Right - below the product image, right-aligned

Color Scheme

Select the color pattern that best matches your brand:

  • Standard (Blue-Purple): modern gradient with purple and blue tones
  • Black and White: minimalist and elegant design
  • Sepia: warm brown tones for a vintage look

Button Size

Adjust the size based on available space:

  • Small: discreet, ideal for compact layouts
  • Medium: balanced, suitable for most themes
  • Large: more visible, to highlight the service
  • Extra Large: maximum visibility

5 Analytics & Statistics

Monitor Virtual Try-On performance with the integrated Analytics dashboard. Access it from WooCommerce > Analytics > Dresium or from the Dresium > Statistics menu.

Filters and Analysis

  • Period: last 7, 30, 90 days, last year, or all time
  • Product: analyze performance by individual product
  • Conversion rate: percentage of users who purchase after trying
  • Average time to purchase: how long between try-on and order

Tip: Regularly check which products have the highest conversion rate after try-on. This data can guide your marketing and merchandising strategies.

6 Security & Privacy

Dresium is designed with maximum attention to security and GDPR compliance.

Data Protection

  • Encryption: all communications occur over secure HTTPS connection
  • OAuth2 Authentication: industry-standard security protocol for authentication
  • Data isolation: each merchant has separate credentials and isolated data
  • No cross-merchant access: your e-commerce data is not accessible to others

Customer Photo Management

  • Photos are securely processed on Dresium servers
  • Customers can delete their photos at any time
  • Photos are never shared with third parties
  • Photos are not used to train AI models

GDPR Compliance

  • Legal basis: user consent and execution of requested service
  • Right to erasure: users can request complete data deletion
  • Transparency: clear information about what data is collected and why
  • Portability: data can be exported upon request

Note for Merchants: Dresium automatically creates a local user account on your e-commerce when a customer uses the service. This is technically necessary for session management. Make sure your privacy policy mentions the presence of the Dresium service.

8 Troubleshooting

Button doesn't appear on product page

  • Verify that the product belongs to a category enabled in Configuration
  • Check that authentication is complete (Authentication section)
  • Try clearing your site and browser cache
  • If you use a page builder, check compatibility settings in Appearance

"Ecommerce Not Authenticated" error

  • Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Dresium > Authentication
  • Click "Connect Ecommerce to Dresium" to repeat registration
  • If you have the Recovery Code, you can use it to restore access

Generation takes too long

  • Normal time is about 60 seconds, may increase during high traffic periods
  • Check your internet connection
  • If the problem persists, contact technical support

Conflicts with theme or other plugins

  • Dresium is compatible with most themes and page builders
  • If you notice display issues, try changing the button position
  • For persistent problems, enable debug mode and contact support

Remote Assistance: In the Help section, you can enable "Remote Assistance" which allows the Dresium team to run diagnostics on your plugin to resolve issues more quickly.
